What is important in your life?
Is it your Career, your family, perhaps your leisure time? Now consider the consequences if you suffered a back injury. Think about how this could affect your lifestyle and routine. On average, handling injuries account for 50% of all over-3-day injuries to employees in the Health Service Industry. Lifting patients is still the most common agent although the number has decreased steadily since 1997/98 (from 6201 to 5227 in 2000/01). Women are more susceptible to back problems than men, as men carry an average of 30% more muscle mass.
764,000 working days every year are lost due to back injuries, don't let it happen to you!
